Here we have my new project, currently just finished and submitted for a unitversity module called Innovation in Sound Practice

It is a wearable piece of technology that measures distance and is worn when in a room with surround sound (currently only working in 5.1). The idea is that the audio moves with you to provide a more immersive gaming experience in VR (and no headphones have to be worn). The whole thing (including the audio) is made procedurally using pure data, an arduino and a couple of unltrasonic distance sensors.

Now here is a nice picture of me wearing it and my (messy) patch in the backgroud.

This is the most advanced patch I have ever made and have incorperated C++ into thie project when compiliing the arduino sketch to allow Pure Data to connect to the distance sensors. The video below explains the process in which I took to make it and also as an example of me wearing the finished project. Please watch and enjoy! (Appologies in advance for the poor sound quality!)

As mentioned in the video, here is the patch and the arduino sketch available to download. Thanks for watching.
